Quite A Steal is built to make finding useful deals simpler. We collect only the information needed to operate the site, communicate with you, protect the service, and meet our legal obligations.
Information we collect
- Newsletter information: your email address, your subscription consent, confirmation status, and unsubscribe records.
- Contact and advertising inquiries: your name, email address, company name when provided, and the contents of your message.
- Routine technical information: limited device, browser, network, and request information that may be processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver and protect the site.
Please do not submit payment card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive information through our forms. Quite A Steal does not ask for or process payment card information on this website.
How we use information
We use information to:
- send confirmation emails and newsletters you requested;
- respond to questions, corrections, and business inquiries;
- review advertising or affiliate partnership proposals;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- maintain consent and business records; and
- comply with law and protect our rights and users.
Newsletter and CAN-SPAM
Our newsletter uses a double opt-in process. After you subscribe, we send a confirmation message before adding you to the mailing list. Marketing emails identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe option. You may unsubscribe at any time, and we will honor valid requests as required by the CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable law. We may keep a limited suppression record so we do not accidentally resubscribe an address that opted out.
Service providers and other sharing
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site, but only for the services they provide. These include:
- Resend, which delivers subscription confirmations and newsletter email;
- website hosting, security, storage, and technical providers;
- affiliate networks and retailers, which may receive referral and click information when you choose to visit an offer; and
- professional advisers, authorities, or another organization when required by law or as part of a legitimate business transfer.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or TikTok Pixel is currently configured on this site.
Cookies and measurement
The site and its infrastructure may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for security, forms, and essential operation. We do not currently use third-party behavioral advertising pixels. If our analytics or advertising practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent tools required by applicable law before those tools are enabled.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain required records, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or withdraw newsletter consent, by emailing hello@quiteasteal.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Depending on where you live, state privacy law may give you additional rights, including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, receive a portable copy, and opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. Quite A Steal does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. An authorized agent may submit a request where state law permits, subject to verification.
Because we do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no separate sale or sharing opt-out link at this time.
Children's privacy
Quite A Steal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
External websites
Deal links may take you to a retailer or another website we do not control. That site's privacy policy applies to information it collects. Review the retailer's terms and privacy practices before completing a purchase or submitting personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when the policy was last updated. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
